About SHL (Slovak Hypertension Ligue)

Welcome to Slovak Hypertension League web site!

The main aim of Slovak Hypertension Ligue (SHL) is to lower the sickness and death rate in direct implication of hypertension. For this purpose SHL will support the implementation measures against high blood pressure of slovak population - that includes alignment of prevention and therapy through undergraduate and postgraduate education of physicians, illustrating the life risk of high blood pressure to the public and propagate the healthy lifestyle.

SHL coordinates, gives suggestions and research plans in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hypertension including the testing of new pharmaceuticals. Maintains connection and exchange of experience with other slovak and foreign sctientific associations.
